The journey so far...

When I originally set up Stitch Create Love, my focus was on teaching people to sew. I did this through delivering classes, courses and 1-2-1 tuition locally to the people of Cheshire. The response was overwhelmingly positive as people not only rushed to book in some sewing time with me, but also wanted to hear my own story. As I shared my experience, I found my personal crafting story resonated with so many people...

My story...

I have suffered with anxiety throughout my life which has at times led to periods of depression, crippling self-doubt and an inability to cope with even the simplest of everyday tasks. Crafting has become my therapy as it has helped and guided me through the tough times and brought me out the other side feeling renewed, refreshed and ready to thrive. This has led to my passion for sharing the positive practical and mental health benefits of sewing and other crafts with as many people as possible.

But I wanted to do more...

As a local business owner however I was restricted in the number of people I could reach, the times at which I could do so and my costs to my customers were high as I could only service a limited number of people at any one time.

So…I have made a decision. In 2020 I plan to take Stitch Create Love online and I want you to share that journey with me!

So what's next?

Obviously this is a massive undertaking and as a one woman enterprise, progress may not always be as swift as I would like. My dream is to build an online creative community which is open to all. I want to provide a useful, enjoyable resource through which I can share my love of crafting with others so they can unlock their creativity, learn new crafting skills and enhance their lives as they discover the many benefits of sewing, knitting and other stitch based crafts.

what I offer

1-2-1 tuition

1-2-1 (one to one) sewing tuition in Chester, Cheshire

If you're local, I'll still be offering my popular 1-2-1 tuition. This gives you the opportunity to receive specialised lessons built around you. I offer one off sessions and courses tailored to your needs.

Online tutorials

Starting in February 2020, I will be adding online tutorials through my YouTube channel to launch you on your exciting journey into the world of crafting. Make sure you subscribe to my channel and switch on the notifications so you are kept up to date on new content as and when it's added.

Regular blog posts

I will be writing and publishing regular blog posts to keep you company as you build your creative skills. This could include hints, tips, tutorials, crafty chat and other creative musings that I think you might find helpful. You can follow me on instagram (@stitchcreatelove) to find out when a new blog post is published.

I film and upload a new podcast every 2 to 3 weeks on my YouTube channel. This is an opportunity for you to find out what projects I'm currently working on and to stay up to date with my crafty life outside of the tutorials. I like my podcasts to feel like a relaxing cup of tea with crafty friends where we chat about all manner of things and swap tips, news and stories. Your chance to shape the Stitch Create Love community...

I want to give my existing, new and future students and crafty friends the chance to shape how this community will grow moving forward. Over the coming months, I intend to set out my plans on this website and update you on these as I go. Ultimately however, this is YOUR resource and I would absolutely LOVE to hear from YOU as to what you want to see from Stitch Create Love.

So what can you do?

If you would like to help shape the future of the Stitch Create Love community:

1. Leave me a comment on YouTube or on my blog giving any feedback or suggestions for what you would like to see next.

2. Send me an email (info@stitchcreatelove.co.uk) giving any feedback or suggestions for future content.

As I want to build a friendly, supportive community it would be so helpful if you could remain as positive as possible in your comments. This does not mean that you have to agree with everything I suggest and can’t offer any criticism. However, please be constructive, respectful and use a positive tone wherever possible when engaging with the Stitch Create Love community.
